Full-Text NBER Working Papers Online

(Charging for full-text subscriptions for each site commences at the first subscription renewal on or after October 1, 1998. The following procedure is valid during the test period, up to that renewal date).

If you are a subscriber to the NBER Working Paper series (the yellow booklets) you can receive from our web site online copies of for any paper issued since June 1973. You do need to register your site.

To register, email the following to subs@nber.org:

  1. Your subscription number. This is the number in parenthesis on the first line of your mailing label.
  2. The domain name for your institution. Typically this is the last portion of your email address, such as ``utexas.edu''.
  3. The network number for your institution. (This is not required for sites that implement reverse name look-up, but not all sites do that correctly). Your network administrator will be the source for the network number, but more information is available here.
  4. You should be in our database within 48 hours. Test by browsing http://www.nber.org/papers/w0000. The offer of a full text download should appear below the abstract.
Subscribers without regular sites:

Some of our subscribers access the WWW via commercial providers and share host names and IP addresses with other institutions, or who do not provide consistent domain names from one session to another. We have an individual login facility for that situation.
